What is life coaching?
Life coaching can be thought of as training for the mind. Just like many people use personal trainers to help them improve their fitness and physical performance, many today use life coaches to help them achieve personal and professional goals. Life coaching helps anybody who is determined to make changes to improve their ability to set goals, plan and fulfill their ambitions whilst also increasing their general well-being.

Life coaching is not therapy. The difference being that while therapists tend to focus on the past or on the healing of old wounds, coaches look to help create the best possible future for their clients. The focus of life coaches is not on 'why' certain things may not have panned out perfectly in the past, but on 'how' and 'when' they are going to achieve their goals.
Life coaching with Hanna
Hanna begins every life coaching programme with assessing a person's current life situation. Once a clear picture of where the person is in their life right now and where they want to be has been achieved, Hanna uses a variety of techniques, including neuro-linguistic exercises to uncover the (sometimes hidden) obstacles that are preventing the person from achieving their desired goals. For example, sometimes it is helpful for clients to become more aware of their own limiting (and usually unconscious) beliefs and how these play a role in blocking their success and enjoyment of life. Hanna is able to support clients in not only becoming more aware of their sub-conscious beliefs but in developing more supportive and highly empowering beliefs that will serve to propel them towards action and fulfilling their ambitions.
During each session, Hanna works with the individual to identify steps to move the individual forward to where they want to be (as well as experience more enjoyment in their lives right now). These are often highly practical steps that must be completed before the next session but may also involve practicing skills leading to increased confidence and an improvement in quality of life.
Depending on the goals and challenges, Hanna is able to teach specialist tools and strategies to empower the individual to improve their well-being, problem-solving and attention.
All work is conducted in an honest, non-judgmental and confidential manner. Key for Hanna is the creation of a space in which clients feel they are listened to, respected and understood and in which clients can get the encouragement they need to move forward in the fastest and most empowering way.
