About Hanna
Hanna's background
Hanna is a neurodevelopmental specialist, mentor and life coach offering sessions to individuals around the UK. She previously worked in a clinical and research capacity within inpatient and outpatient services (including brain injury rehabilitation wards and national outpatient mental health services) and world-leading teaching universities for 13 years. Hanna mixes her specialties in neuropsychology and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) with standard coaching tools to empower individuals to improve their well-being, planning and problem-solving. Her previous roles included working at the Adult ADHD Service at the Maudsley Hospital and the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN) in London where she was responsible for conducting neuropsychological assessments, facilitating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) workshops and conducting research and lectures in ADHD, ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorders)and statistics. As a Post-Doctoral Researcher, Hanna was responsible for the day-to-day management of a large National Institute for Health Research funded project investigating the needs, clinical service use and transition from child to adult health services among people with neurodevelopmental disorders. Her research highlighted the lack of support for adolescents and young adults with ADHD and ASD and emphasised the need for more investment in services for adults with neurodevelopmental disorders. Today Hanna is a visiting Honorary Researcher at the Department of Forensic and Neurodevelopmental Science at the IoPPN in London and continues to author research publications in some of the world's most renowned medical and psychiatry journals (see selective list of publications below, published under Hanna's maiden name). Hanna's coaching, mentoring and consultancy work is carried out online and through face-to-face appointments from her home. <ahref="https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Hanna_Eklund">Hanna Eklund on ResearchGate</a>
